When I was a 9-1-1 dispatcher, the holiday season meant a spike in calls. This time of year, while so joyous for some, is incredibly hard for others. Unexpected loss, depression, financial struggles, turbulence or violence at home... you never know what people are struggling with as they opt out of the exchanges and retreat or express extra frustration.
