Things I've noticed after using the new #apple #macbookpro 16" while being accustom...

Things I've noticed after using the new #apple #macbookpro 16" while being accustomed to a MBP of mid-2012:
- obviously faster, has better keyboard and cooling (i7 still gets hot but cools off faster than what I've seen before)
- separate Esc key and fingerprint reader and larger trackpad are nice to have
- almost the same size as the old MBP 15 (screen bezel is narrower)
- surprisingly better sound, more bass
- screen is really thin
- 4 Thunderbolt 3/USB-C ports, no card reader/USB/HDMI (hence some call it DongleBookPro)
- no power cable extension (compared to MBP from 2012)
- Migration Assistant took about 4 hours to migrate 400Gb worth of apps/docs from an old MBP over wifi (you can speed it up using the Thunderbolt 3 cable, but the old MBP didn't have that port)
- migration went smooth but old Excel/Word stopped working in the new installation and redirected to Office 365 (paid after 30-day trial) because it couldn't read some license key from the old MBP
- minor changes such as Avast needing full disk access and other apps requiring permissions to Downloads folder
- free 1 year of Apple TV+
