The other day I saw someone had posted their extremely nice storage setup: a Synology Diskstation (NAS - Network Attached Storage) equiped with HDs of 8 Tb set up in RAID 1. ๐Ÿค‘
I think that was going to run up to $1600 total if going by the prices at Amazon. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ’ธ

In a sharp contrast, a few months ago I had purchased an used Apple Airport Time Capsule with 2Tb on eBay for about $55. ๐Ÿ’ต
It is a discontinued product - that is why it is so inexpensive. ๐Ÿ’ฐ

Even though it is slow, it has been working nicely for me, having my files available all the time.
I may replace its HD someday with something faster.

I have been using 2 other alternative storage solutions:
- a portable 2Tb SSD I bought last Black Friday, which I use with Apple's Time Machine
- a subscription to BackBlaze that constantly runs an unlimited backup of all files

Each of them for less than $100.

Do you have a storage setup that you like? ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ By the way, I can refer anyone interested to BackBlaze for a free month (that way I get a free month too), just need your email address.
