Saurabh Gupta's observations reminded me of not one, but two incredibly odd interviews I had with a big-name company a few years ago. 😂
It started like any normal interview: pleasantries exchanged, a little small talk. But then, they launched a runaway train with their personal highlights reel.
How they "single-handedly" transformed entire projects into "game-changing". I nodded, smiled, even said the occasional "That’s impressive!" to try to stay in the loop.
Minutes turned to half an hour. Then nearly an hour. And my experience was left unexplored. It was not an interview, but something like a TED Talk. 🤣
When they wrapped up, they seemed to barely remember I was there to be interviewed!
"Any questions?"
I had one, but I kept it to myself: "Wasn't I supposed to be interviewed, or am I here just for moral support?" 😅
