🎉 Google has finally approved my new browser extension: "GPT Extension for Jira and Bitbucket" 🍾
Ever opened a Jira ticket or Bitbucket pull request and thought, “I have so much to do and now I wish someone could just quickly explain all this to me like I’m five”? Well, wish no more! 😆
Here it is: GPT Extension for Jira and Bitbucket - a simple browser add-on that lets OpenAI’s GPT swoop in to summarize or explain the content of your tickets, source code, commits, or pull requests. It’s like having a personal assistant who understands jargon (tech or corporatespeak).
⚙️ How does it work?
🕵️♂️ Launched from the extension icon, the extension checks if you’re on a Confluence, Jira or Bitbucket page.
📋 It grabs the content already displayed on the page - and nothing more!
🤖 Sends that over to OpenAI GPT for some AI-powered enlightenment.
💡 And voilà! You get a neat explanation or summary while you sip your coffee and look effortlessly productive. ☕️😁
🚨 NOTE: it needs an API key from your OpenAI account - it will be saved in your browser and will not be sent anywhere else but OpenAI. 🚨
Worried about privacy? So am I! 🧐
This extension doesn’t capture personal or sensitive user data. It simply communicates with OpenAI for summarization/explanation.
