๐ Google has finally approved my new browser extension: "GPT Extension for Jira and Bitbucket" ๐พ
Ever opened a Jira ticket or Bitbucket pull request and thought, โI have so much to do and now I wish someone could just quickly explain all this to me like Iโm fiveโ? Well, wish no more! ๐
Here it is: GPT Extension for Jira and Bitbucket - a simple browser add-on that lets OpenAIโs GPT swoop in to summarize or explain the content of your tickets, source code, commits, or pull requests. Itโs like having a personal assistant who understands jargon (tech or corporatespeak).
โ๏ธ How does it work?
๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ Launched from the extension icon, the extension checks if youโre on a Confluence, Jira or Bitbucket page.
๐ It grabs the content already displayed on the page - and nothing more!
๐ค Sends that over to OpenAI GPT for some AI-powered enlightenment.
๐ก And voilร ! You get a neat explanation or summary while you sip your coffee and look effortlessly productive. โ๏ธ๐
๐จ NOTE: it needs an API key from your OpenAI account - it will be saved in your browser and will not be sent anywhere else but OpenAI. ๐จ
Worried about privacy? So am I! ๐ง
This extension doesnโt capture personal or sensitive user data. It simply communicates with OpenAI for summarization/explanation.
