As Marc Benioff said recently: "The world is moving into the Indian ๐ฎ๐ณ era." ๐
Sriram Krishnan (Senior Policy Advisor for AI at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy): "Anything to remove country caps for green cards / unlock skilled immigration would be huge. ... simple logic - we need the best, regardless of where they happen to be born (another bizarre quirk - the country cap is where you were born, not even citizenship)"
Indians are nearly 75% of the total H1B visa recipients since 2020 according to the USCIS.
Indians applying for a green card in the EB-2 category (which normally follows a H1B visa) usually have to wait 11 years as per the USCIS' table of "Dates for Filing for Employment-Based Adjustment of Status Applications".
